Hayle in the Sun

Wednesday 20th January 2016
A brisk walk through St Ives brought us to the bus stop above the station in time to catch the number 14 bus. I bought two day returns to Hayle, which cost £9.00. The ride took about fifteen minutes, and we chose to leave the bus close to the Copperhouse section of town. We carried on walking as though leaving the town until the turning for the Towans, then headed back in, looking at the shops and pricing up the houses in the estate agent's windows.
When we reached the turning for the beach close to the Lido, we headed that way. This area is about to undergo many changes. It has already been partially redeveloped, and there are plans for shops and housing for it. Being so close to the beach, it would be a great place to live if it's done well, unlike the dockside developments in Portishead, near Bristol, which I think are soul less wind filled canyons. I wouldn't want to live there.
We ambled along the beach, enjoying the sun. There was a breeze, but it wasn't too cold.
